Shilton Webster-Jones was born in 1899 in Liverpool.
He studied pharmacy and obtained a Pharmacy certificate at Liverpool University.
He then studied osteopathy at the BSO in 1931 and qualified in 1934. He soon joined the faculty and became Assistant Registrar to the late Dr J.M. Littlejohn, (founder of the BSO in 1917).
When Dr Littlejohn died in 1947 "Webber" became Principal, the post he retained for 20 years.
Lecturer throughout his time as principal in the subject of Osteopathic practice and for the earlier years in the subjects of Osteopathic Diagnosis and Principles.
He held regular "Osteopathic clinical demonstration" for senior students.

He was honoured by the British School of Osteopathy with an Honorary Fellowship and by the Osteopathic Association of Great Britain with the Littlejohn Award for outstanding services to the profession.
Shilton Webster-Jones was a key figure in the Twentieth Century Osteopathy in Great-Britain.

He died on 18th January 1986.
